The Cottage is a charming house surrounded by trees in a quiet rural landscape and is completely self contained, comfortably furnished and well equipped, including fridge freezer, microwave, automatic washing machine, television, VCR player, and barbecue. There is a modern kitchen with a dining area and lounge with a selection of books. There is one bathroom with shower and bath and a separate toilet. There are four bedrooms – a double room with queen sized bed, a single room, a twin room and a room with a set of bunks. All beds have electric blankets and a cot with mattress and high chair are on hand.
The maximum that can be accommodated is seven adults plus one baby. There is a sunny sheltered north facing terrace with outdoor furniture adjoining the lounge. The Games Room and the Billiard Room are immediately adjacent to the Homestead and are shared with residents of the Cottage. Table tennis, carpet bowls and a dartboard are available for visitors use. The tennis court and swimming pool are a short distance down the driveway. There is ample outdoor parking for cars.
The Cottage telephone number is (06) 855-4886. There is no cell phone coverage at Glen Innis. Glen Innis is a working farm. If you would like to see the farm ask Graeme who will be pleased to provide guests with a guided tour of the farm in the utility vehicle, as farm work and weather permit.
